Overview
Some Outlook desktop users may experience email rendering issues—such as images not displaying correctly, layout misalignment, or styling inconsistencies. In many cases, these issues can be resolved by enabling New Outlook, which uses a newer rendering engine with improved HTML and image support.
When This Applies
This solution applies if you are:
- Using Outlook desktop on Windows
- Experiencing issues with images, buttons, or layout in HTML emails
- Seeing correct rendering in other clients (Outlook Web, Gmail, mobile) but not Outlook desktop
Steps to Resolve
- Open Outlook on your Windows computer.
- Look to the top-right corner of the Outlook window.
- Locate the toggle labeled “New Outlook”.
- Switch the toggle ON.
- Outlook may prompt you to restart—if so, restart Outlook to apply the change.
Once enabled, Outlook will reload using the New Outlook experience.
